SRI KHUDARAYAKAH ('Lord Khudarayakah' in Sharda) Zebu recumbent to left with symbol on rump; in field to left, star. Rev. Rider facing on horseback to right, holding banner in his left hand; below horse, decapitated human head; to right, Sharda letter MA; to right, Arabic letter. Deyell 34. Tye 22. Very fine.

Khudarayaka was the Islamic ruler who deposed the Hindu Shahis. The decapitated human head on the reverse may represent his fallen enemies, the Hindu Shahis, and is only rarely visible on this issue as it is usually off flan
